Nimritha- J Arun Kumar Cricket Academy has been designed to simulate outdoor cricket practice in a net facility. J. Arun Kumar, former Karnataka / Assam and Goa Ranji Trophy captain and member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, is the man behind the academy.

Office:
The academy will have an administrative office on the premises. The working hours of which is 11:00 am – 6:00 pm , Monday-Saturday.

There are  five cement wickets with mats. Overall nets to have a safe environment. All the nets have an  astro turf bowling strip to protect bowlers from injuries of the ankle, knee or back. The run-ups of all the nets are 25 to 30 metres long. This provides full run-ups for fast bowlers which is essential for relevant practice. The bowler’s background is painted in white to give the side-screen effect.

Four to five turf wickets are being currently laid and the same will be ready for use by July 2009. This will have an astro turf bowling run up too. The bowling machines will be available once these wickets are operational.

Indoor facilities for cricket and other sports like foot ball,hockey and basketball will be available in the near future to encourage more partcipation from corporates and schools.

The academy will have dressing rooms, showers and toilets to ensure hygiene and  also provide safe storage of kits during practice. The dressing room has been designed to accommodate 15-20 people.

Balls and other training kits like cones, stumps, synthetic balls, hurdles, hanging balls, beacons will be provided to ensure quality training. However, only balls will attract additional cost.

Basic first aid kits will be readily available on the premises.

Time slots are planned for a duration of 120 minutes and can be customized with prior booking to suit the requirement of the team.

The facility is located off Sarjapur Road, near WIPRO Corporate Office, 500 meters from the Main Road.

Usage of Matting Wickets for 2 hours – Rs 400.00 ( includes only training equipments and not cricket balls)
Usage of Turf Wickets for 2 hours – Rs 1500.00 (includes only training equipments and not cricket balls)
