Arun Kumar hundred propels Assam
December 2, 2006

Railways 6 for 0 trail Assam 362 (J Arun Kumar 138, Bordoloi 73, Saravanan 45, Kartik 5-46) by 356 runs
Scorecard
Jagadeesh Arun Kumar played a captain's knock for Assam, as his 138 took his side to 362 against Railways at Guwahati. Murali Kartik, the Indian left-arm spinner, was rewarded with a five-wicket haul in a 38-over toil, in which he conceded only 46 runs. Kartik broke the 180-run stand between Arun Kumar and Nishantha Bordoloi, who made a stubborn 73 off 336 balls. All the Railways bowlers were made to work hard for their wickets, in particular Jai Prakash Yadav, whose marathon 43 overs yielded just one scalp. Railways batted out just the two overs before stumps, finishing at 6 for no loss.
